Custom Rope Ladders Built for Strength, Safety & Versatility

Rope ladders come in several designs, each suited for different applications and environments. At Nets R Us, we specialize in manufacturing high-quality rope ladders that are hand spliced, built to order, and designed for long-term performance.

We focus on three primary rope ladder types:

  • Traditional Rope Ladders

  • Firecracker Ladders

  • Fidget Ladders

Each ladder is manufactured using durable rope materials, solid wood rungs, and proven splicing techniques to ensure reliability in industrial, marine, recreational, and specialty applications.

Rope Material Options

We offer rope ladders constructed using three different rope types, allowing customers to choose the best material for their specific needs.

Poly Dacron Rope Ladders

Poly dacron rope consists of polypropylene strands covered by polyester fibers, making it one of the most versatile rope materials available.

Benefits include:

  • Excellent UV resistance

  • Low stretch under load

  • High durability

  • Easy handling

  • Suitable for indoor and outdoor use

Poly dacron is our most popular rope option and is ideal for most rope ladder applications.

Black Nylon Rope Ladders

Nylon rope is chosen for applications that require maximum strength and flexibility.

Key characteristics:

  • Very high tensile strength

  • Excellent abrasion resistance

  • Strong UV and chemical resistance

  • More stretch than poly dacron, allowing shock absorption

  • Smooth texture that is easy on the hands

Black nylon rope ladders are commonly used in demanding or high-stress environments.

Manila Rope Ladders

Manila rope is a natural fiber rope valued for its traditional appearance and texture.

Key characteristics:

  • Strong natural fiber construction

  • Resistant to saltwater damage

  • Flexible but rougher on the hands

  • Can shrink when exposed to moisture

Manila rope ladders are often selected for decorative, nautical, or historical applications.

Wooden Rungs & Ladder Construction

All of our rope ladders are built using 1-1/4" × 12" poplar wood rungs. Poplar is chosen for its strength, consistency, and durability.

Each rung is:

  • Precisely spaced

  • Lashed into place using waxed cord

  • Secured to prevent movement during use

This lashing method provides strength while allowing slight flexibility, which improves comfort and durability over time.

Rung Spacing Options

We offer two rung spacing options to accommodate different climbing needs:

  • 12-inch rung spacing
Ideal for recreational climbing, fitness use, and situations requiring closer steps.

  • 18-inch rung spacing
Commonly used for marine, industrial, and access applications where wider spacing is acceptable.

The appropriate rung spacing depends on ladder length, intended use, and user preference.

Rope Ladder Styles

We offer five rope ladder styles, each designed for specific installation and usage requirements. Depending on the style selected, ladders may include one or two steel thimbles spliced at the top and/or bottom.

Steel thimbles:

  • Protect the rope from wear at attachment points

  • Maintain proper rope shape

  • Improve longevity

  • Simplify installation

Style A Rope Ladders

Style A ladders typically feature a joint splice at the bottom of the ladder and are designed for secure, fixed installations.

Style C Rope Ladders

Style C ladders include a metal thimble installed at the top, making them well-suited for hanging or suspended applications.

The metal thimble is spliced directly into the rope, ensuring a strong, professional attachment point.

Other Ladder Styles

Additional styles offer variations in:

  • Thimble placement

  • End terminations

  • Installation flexibility

Our team can help determine which style best fits your application.

Hand-Spliced Craftsmanship

Every rope ladder we manufacture is hand spliced using proven splicing techniques. Hand splicing provides superior strength compared to knot-based construction and ensures the ladder maintains its integrity under repeated use.

Benefits of hand-spliced rope ladders include:

  • Splices that will not pull out

  • Maintained rope strength

  • Clean, professional appearance

  • Long service life

Joint splices are commonly used at the bottom of Style A and Style C rope ladders, adding durability where stress is concentrated.

Applications for Rope Ladders

Our rope ladders are used in a wide range of environments, including:

  • Marine and dockside applications

  • Industrial access points

  • Recreational climbing structures

  • Fitness and obstacle courses

  • Playgrounds

  • Decorative and themed installations

Because each ladder is built to order, we can tailor the design to match your specific application.
